Fre­quen­cy Fes­ti­val & Aug­ment­ed Reality

The biggest XR exper­i­ment in Poland.

For the first time in my career, I had the oppor­tu­ni­ty to work with the strange but won­der­ful world of aug­ment­ed real­i­ty pro­duc­tion on such a scale. The Fes­ti­val of Fre­quen­cy com­bines the great­est stars of Pol­ish music with new tech­nolo­gies, giv­ing fans new expe­ri­ences. The event was cre­at­ed dur­ing the pan­dem­ic, and XR gave us the oppor­tu­ni­ty to do it in a sit­u­a­tion of lock­down and make the con­cert avail­able to the whole coun­try.
I cre­at­ed ideas and con­cepts for three artists — Krzysztof Zalews­ki, Organek and Ralph Kamińs­ki. The artists were giv­en a plan of mechan­ics and ani­ma­tions to build inter­ac­tion with the envi­ron­ment. Each of them has their own uni­verse with sym­bol­ic ele­ments inspired by the songs and the atmos­phere of their music. Also, every envi­ron­ment had con­nec­tions with War­saw, because the con­cert was to be held there.
After com­plet­ing the sto­ry and all the con­cepts, I man­aged the cre­ative and pro­duc­tion teams to get every sin­gle piece done in 3D soft­ware. After all, every­thing was pro­grammed on the Unre­al Engine.

I cre­at­ed the ideas, sto­ry­boards, doc­u­men­ta­tion for scene mechan­ics, look and visu­al aspect, man­ag­ing teams.
